Matthew Lombardi:
SP(67)/SK(72):
"Makes his linemates better around him because of deft setup skills and blazing speed" -tsn.ca
Lombardi is among the fastest skaters in the NHL, and deserves to be rated accordingly. With the leagues best being rated in the mid 80's Lombardi certainly deserves at least a high 70/low80 rating in both areas.

Mike Smith - rated 73 OV pushing for a 75 at least www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/players/bio/?id=2528&hubname=nhl-starswent 12-5-2 with 3 shutouts, .912 sv% has had solid AHL seasons averaging in-between 91 and 92 sv% he may not be starter material but he is proving capable of NHL backup duties and should at least be a 75, i think he can get better too

Is potential enough in an NHL rerate league? I think speculation of what he can produce isn't going to get you what you want here. If so, I could say Grigorenko should come in as a top 6 forward. Believe me I wish he could, but we all know that isn't going to happen. If he is going to be that good he'll get the rerate next season.

Well, potential was maybe the wrong word. But considering how many points he's been scoring on the farm team he deserves higher PA and PC.

as was mentioned earlier, PA,SC even PC are heavily formula based and depend almost entirely on a players numbers.

Yes, I realize that, but Jack Johnson scored a point a game in CCHA which is extremely good for a defender. Sure, it wasn't the NHL, but his PA is a disastrous 50. I'm not saying it should be 70+, but maybe a few points higher...

I will get my re-rate applications in the next few days sometime. I have a completely insane weekend going on. Sorry for the hold up Drew.

Ville Peltonen- "Skates well, and oozes offensive creativity and puck poise. Owns a wealth of experience at all levels. Is solid at both ends of the ice." TSN
I believe his skating needs to be raised as well as PC and PA. In 72 games he scored 17 goals and 20 assists as well as a +7 and 145 shots. Ledership could be raised too..
Stephen Weiss- "Possesses tremendous acceleration, two-way instincts and goal-scoring ability. When on top of his game, he makes his teammates around him better." TSN
I believe Stephen SC, PA need to be raised since he scored 20 goals and 28 assists as well as playing the majority of the season on the 3rd line until Nieuwendyk reitred.

I'm not saying it should be 70+, but maybe a few points higher... Jack Johnson should not get a higher rating. my suggestion is that we should get a few prospect rerates to use during the NHL season - so if a guy like Jack Johnson or Marc Staal or Niklas Backstrom perform well in the NHL we should be able to rerate those guys during the NHL season after say 25 or 30 to 40 games

Yes each team will get 3 mid-season rerates, to be used based on the '07-'08 NHL stats.

I've done the rerates that have been posted so far. In some cases I increased an area that wasn't mentioned... those who felt PA and SC were too low, the max I raised it was by 1... as it is based heavily on a formula.
