after the firing of dave nonis, the canucks hired a local bc boy in brad dudoward to take over the reigns, his first priority was to shake things up,his needs were as every canuck fan knows, scoring. out went brendan morrison, taylor pyatt, lukas krajicek and in came young and promising centre tim connolly, and a young goal scorer in michael ryder, now ryder with the twins should keep the teams top line in check,no more days of the 1 year fix for the twins. on defense the club was strong,so after aquiring tough stay at home dman in mike rathje the club traded longtime canuck dman matias ohlund in a suprise move, but landed themselves with the#2 overall pick and a future all star forward will be waiting in the wings. the ohlund deal was made possible with the likes of luc bourdon, alex edler up and coming fast, but rumor has it the team isnt done trying to fix there blueline depth,gm dudoward is still seeking depth after the loss of ohlund, and could be dangling prospect cory schneider in order to land a stable dman to fill the void. all in all, with the recent trade that landed disgruntled forward alex kovalev the canucks top lines dont look so bad. sedin-sedin-ryder naslund-connolly-kovalev. more changes are expected in vancouver, stay tuned
